For the 4th time in a row, Bishop Ireton has met city rival St Stephens in the VISAA championship game. Each of the 4 occasions the underdog has prevailed, but this one was a classic! The Saints rallied late to tie the game, but Madison Mote won it in OT

Cardinals fall 6-2 at St John's in WCAC quartefinal baseball
Bishop Ireton made its first appearance in three years in the WCAC baseball postseason, but got bumped out in the quarterfinals, 6-2 to top-seeded St John's Saturday in Washington. Cardinals held 2-1 early, but Cadets chipped away to earn the win.
Tiga Golden paces Cardinals at Blue & Gray Relays
Tyga Golden finished 8th in the triple jump to score for the Cardinals. The freshman is on a seven meet scoring streak and is the only Card, boy or girl, to place in every meet this season.
Cardinal girls run at Mary Washington track meet
Holly Weber sprinted to a second place finish in the girls 300 meter hurdles and set a personal record in the long jump to place 4th. The sophomore led the Cardinals to a 12th place finish at the University of Mary Washington Blue & Gray Relays.
Weber's MVP performance paces Girls to 3rd at Catholic State Track & Field
Sophomore Holly Weber medalled in four events to lead the Cardinals to a third place at the 2017 Catholic state track & field championships at Bishop O'Connell Saturday. Boys were 5th.
Cardinals soar over Saints, 17-3 to advance to state semi's
Bishop Ireton bolted to a 10-0 halftime advantage and cruised to a 17-3 win in VISAA quarterfinal play in Alexandria Tuesday. Cardinals face winner of Collegiate-PVI game Friday at 6pm at Highland School in Warrenton.
Cardinals claim third WCAC crown in 4 years in girls' lacrosse
Bishop Ireton rode a smothering defense and four goals from Madison Mote and Kayla Duperrouzel, Reilly Casey had four assists. Cardinals shutout Falcons for more than 26 minutes taking a 5-1 into the second half. Ireton claimed 12 of 18 draws in the win.
Bishop Ireton earns championship berth with 14-6 win
#2 Bishop Ireton rode exceptional goaltending and smothering defense to upend #3 seeded Collegiate School, 14-6 Saturday at the Highland School. They will face St Stephens & St Agnes School Sunday at 4:30 for the VISAA Division I state championship.
